Whirlwind blows out.....

Seven weeks.... was that a film?

Well on my previous post many people warned me....

I listened.

Further recent developments.... a 'friend' asked her "any chance of a shag?", oh I was well pleased.....she used to live at his house.

Then she mentions that she was looking through her phone and noticed someone she had not spoken to in a while on the contacts list. Phoned him asking for his email. I waited to see if she would tell me who this guy was. She didn't so I asked. An ex. One her mom was very fond of. i asked why would she do this? The response was that there is a group of friends that meet occasionally, did she contact any other member of the group? No.

Her most recent ex offered her an engagement ring, about two weeks ago. She texts him that if he needs to talk she will meet him.

Then she tells me she is scared that 'something' will happen when we are out and I will just say, enough, and walk away.

So I think I have decided to say enough now, before this happens.

How can anyone expect another person to put up with all this? My mind is boggling. She seemed to be trying, well said she was, but somehow the actions did not back up the talk.

I seem to be, to qoute Cecilius, from my other thread, in the middle of a whole load of drama. I am on the verge of bailing here.

Do I give her a chance? Or do I just run for the hills?

If I give her a break here, how do I do that without appearing like a walk over? She is a good person at heart, and I feel a little guilty that her past is colouring my view. Having said that though I can't seem to accpet that I should have to deal with this stuff, or that I should constantly be on the lookout for the next 'incident'.

?????

This girl is going to hurt a lot of guys in her life.. do you really want to be one of them ?

She isn't going to change.. there is no reason for her to change

Optimism? They've gotten away with it in the past?

I'm 100% with Art here - some guys and girls are just made to hurt. They're never gonna get it together.

You can't - you'll be a walkover.

Sounds like a long term female friend I have known since our teens. She's very sweet and a great friend, but an awful girlfriend and wife - she has left a trail of romantic destruction and broken hearts behind her.

Sounds as if she is trying to determine how much crap you will put up with!

BTW - the movie was 9 1/2 weeks, and it was VERY steamy! Kim Bassinger before she was well known and some hot sex scenes involving lots of food!

I can see where you are all coming from here, thanks.

She has made a few 'alterations' to her behaviour, in front of me anyway. Removed the overly flirtatious stuff, but I can't seem to feel comfortable with all the other stuff. It just keeps coming at me from too many directions to deal with.

She is away at the moment, visiting her girl friend, and I am not sure what will happen when she gets back. She never moved in as such but there is a lot of stuff of hers here.

This is going to be a hard evening. Thanks for views so far people.

9 1/2 weeks? Thats it ta!
