So i just got a job near where my ex lives in the city and I know of an apt. opening up right near work(which would be perfect b/c i have to be there very early).....My ex & i broke up in September and it wasn't a bad breakup but i got my heartbroken BADLY...he wanted to see me still but didnt want an emotional attachment at that time so i said screw that and we really haven't spoken since....he did text me over holidays

It's just that my anxiety was so BAD for the past couple of mos....i lost weight and had anxiety attacks....i dont want him to rule my life but im worried that if i live close to him(around 13 blocks)...ill be thinkin of him and i heard he is dating someone new.....but i dont want to not live close to work just b/c of another person....any advice would be GREAT...THANKS

Take the job & the apartment. You can't spend the rest of your life trying to avoid ex's. Besides, in a city 13 blocks is HUGE. You probably won't be running into too much.
