What would your reaction be to.......

.... your gf / bf spending time with their ex?

The reason I ask is that my ex wanted to spend some time with me at a dinner evening for about 80 people I was going to, where she was also waiting on.

We also went out for another meal afterwards (don't ask why! I still can't understand!) with about 8 others.

Considering she has a new bf since we split 6 months ago, she was very friendly, leaning on me, taking my phone out of my trouser pocket whilst sitting down (made it quite difficult). Just made me wonder what her new bf would think if he knew what she was doing with me.

I still love her but that's a different story lol

She's giving him some major "buy" signals. Does she realize this? I would point it out to her. Act concerned that he may take some action based on her behavior.

You can be a bit of an alpha male here. Women like a LITTLE chest pounding. Just be loving AND say you don't like that kind of shyt. She is YOUR woman.

It may have been completely innocent, but at least you've let her know what your boundaries are....(but, we women usually know what we are doing! )

If it continues, I would pull back a bit and say that while YOU love her, she seems confused about wanting to be with just you.

That might open up an important discussion about your relationship and if and how you can meet each other's needs.

oops, i just realized that i misunderstood your post!

You are the ex. I get it. She is sending YOU the buy signals, seeing if you send some signals back.

Watch out. I only reach in a man's pocket if I want him to think about me touching him between them

yeah, i can see that would make it hard.

i think she wants you, man. or wants you to want her, which is completely different, but still a mind****.

think? he should be too busy dropping her ass to think. if my boyfriend put his hands anywhere near his ex-girlfriend's lady-rude-bits, i'd shoot 'em off.

(the hands. not the rude bits.)

She knows I still like her, my story is a long and complex one, which can be found on Second Chances forum. If I posted this question on that forum the response I'd get would be to not talk to her again which is not what I want to do!

Her new bf lives over 300 miles away, they met on an adventure holiday over Christmas and haven't seen each other since. He was supposed to fly up and stay with her for her birthday but he "couldn't get to the airport in time". Personally I think he's taking her for a ride after that statement as he had many days notice to book it in advance! It's not my place to stick my nose in though, I don't know him at all.

What do I do now ?!?
