Exercise Bikes ???

As you may know, I am trying to lose weight.
the only exercise I like is biking and walking.

I am thinking of buying an exercise bike this week, and yes I will continue with the walking.
Both the dog and I like it.

And I am watching what I eat too.

But will riding an exercise bike and walking help me to lose weight.
I have checked out Curves but they are booked until March.
seems New Years is everyones time to lose weight.

Can anyone offer any advice.
Thanks

Doing the bike and walking should definately help, especially if you combine it with good habits like eating only when you are hungry (not bored), drinking lots of water, and cutting down on fatty/sugary foods.

You might also try enrolling in a beginners' Pilates class, if Curves is booked. Giving your body the opportunity to stretch out the muscles you build from biking/walking will lead to a leaner look.

Go to Consumer Reports and check out other review sites for advice on buying a good bike. Seems some of them can have problems you wouldn't think to look for.

They make great clothes racks

Bike

I was given an exercise bike. It made too much noise, so I trashed it.
