my boyfriend and i live an hour apart. because of his job and me being a full time student, we only see eachother once a week. on a few occassions, we were able to spend an entire weekend together which was great. usually i drive up to visit him since i enjoy driving and he doesn't, but this saturday he is coming to MY town and taking me to a game.

I thought since we rarely see eachother, it would be worth it if he came a day early. friday night rather than saturday morning. this way he'd still only drive once but we'd spend more time together. i was super happy about the idea of us spending the night together, but he told me he didn't want to come to town a day early because that night he wanted to drink at a bar with his friend Joe and his other friend Sarah.


I'm pissed that he'd rather stay in his town drinking at a stupid ****ing bar with his friends who he can see any damn day he wants rather than spend one night with his girlfriend.

is this worth getting mad at him over or should i let it go/
i don't want to date a guy who'd choose drinking with friends over an extra night with me when we only see eachother one night the way it is.

also to be fair, he did offer to spend the night saturday AFTER i got mad at him.

well maybe i'd rather have him spend the night friday.

bah... whats with this guy.... well its not that nice to get thaat angry at him for something like that but..... it isn't a very... umm nice thing to do to you girlfriend... mmm ...mmmmmmmmmm sorry i don't exactly know what to think either... its just that.... i would love to spend the night at my gfs house if i had one....... esp if i don't get to see her that much....... it could be something else but... no use jumping to any conclusions here... if it were me... id prolly just ... act... dissapointed... not exactly angry but not just say its ok... i woul dhave told him exactly what u said... he could just see his friends any other day...

To be fair I will be honest....I would be pissed too. The bar with two friends that he sees more often then you versus you which is a treat since you guys are so busy. BUT, even though I would be pissed I would probably hold back some of my anger (I always do, which isn't always good). I would go with the being EXTREMELY dissapointed route and of course I would want to talk to him about it (which I know men really love~be sarcastic). But that's "Just Me"

Hmmm, maybe I wouldn't be very fair about it (I don't know ... ?), but I'd be upset too. So, did you actually tell him? Did it start an argument or something?

yeah, rather than get angry with him, i just sounded bummed out to make him feel bad. i thought maybe i could convince him to come here, but looks like there's no changing him.

yep, i told him. we're still talking about it today. he's trying to redeem himself by telling ME to come up tonight then he can take me back to my town tomorrow morning for the game and then drive me back to his town to get my car. waste of gas. it'd be easier for him to just come up early.

we never had an argument...just me saying i was upset and him asking me if i was mad to which i said "No, but i wanted to see you bad"
