He doesn’t visit her at her work or want to see what she does. He never says, “I love you.” He doesn’t reveal how he feels about her. He rarely plans dates with her in advance. He cancels plans made in advance. He wants to see her less than she wants to see him. He needs his weekend nights to himself to be with his friends. He gets angry when she talks about her insecurities about their relationship. After a weekend trip together he pulls back and doesn’t call for days. He says, “I have feelings but I’m not ready to reveal them.” He says, “I can’t go any faster than am now.” He doesn’t introduce her or include her when his family comes to town. He doesn’t share important details about his past. Interest in her plans for the future is minimal. He doesn’t mention her to his friends except if they ask. He is always the one to leave or end the conversation. He doesn’t buy her any gifts or flowers. He tells her “We’re just dating, we don’t have a relationship.” He tells her he wants to slow down and see her less often. He cancels his date with her saying something has come up. He is more interested in the event than in her company. He is not prepared for the date with her. Instead, he wings it. He doesn’t call when he says he will call. He works late instead of taking her out. He looks at other women when on a date. He doesn’t compliment her on her outfit, hair or appearance. Always busy when she calls. Your partner asks what you like, you tell them, and then they never do it! He has no interest in her daily activities. He dates other women while dating her.
