Re: Long Distance Relationship

Hi--well i'm kinda in the same situation that you are, my boyfriend and i have been dating for about two years--but we've been good friends for the last four year at college, but this summer he started graduate school and i did too--but in different states, it was hard at the beginning and actually the same thing as with you kinda happened, he mentioned wanting to see other people and stuff and i was just heartbroken, we had a couple fights and everything just seemed to be going downhill, but we tried our hardest to solve othere problems that were emerging and thru it all, he came to realize that he didn't even want to see other people, and now things are super great, we've actually been talking about getting engaged but the timing just doens't seem to be too good, so then last night we were talking about if we were really ready to get married and he and i both do kinda wonder what it would be like to spend time with other people before actually settling down and we talked about all the pros and cons but never really came to a conclusion, i think its just really hard for anyone because it is a new and very different situation that will affect you for the rest of your life, so i'd say to maybe back off a little but still keep in very close touch and let her know you care about her so much and hopefully she'll realize that you are the one for her before she even ventures off--just rely on your faith and if its to be, it'll all come together!

good luck

Currently, I am in a long distance relationship that has been on and off for the past two years. In the past six months, me and my girlfriend have become very close. I see her about four days every month and a half. We have had sex only once, and we were both virgins. She is very loving, and she seems like the right one for me. Even though we live 700 miles apart, I love her as if she was already my wife. We have discussed marriage in the future, and have both semi-decided to get married in two years, after I graduate college. The problem is this. I call her every single night on the phone, and only about two weeks ago, I noticed that she sounded different. She told me that it is really hard not having me there. She wants to see other people now, and not only a month ago she was ready to spend the rest of her life with me. We both think that giving our virginity to each other was the most special gift ever. I would never have had sex with her if I didn't think that we were going to get married in the future. We (actually her) decided to take a month off so she can see others. She says that she won't cheat on me, and I really want to believe her, but something is telling me that if she sees others, someone is going to take her away from me. I love her with all of my heart, and I want to be with her for forever more than anything. What should I do? Keep fighting to keep her love, or should I just go along with this one month thing, and hope it doesn't turn into a six month thing? Should I try my hardest to keep her mine, or let her venture out, hoping that she will return to me in the end?

Re: Long Distance Relationship

Hi there! I hope I can help you out! I think you should go along with the month thing, but don't hound her by calling a lot or stuff like that. Just let her be herself & find out who she really is & what she wants at this point in her life. I think if she really loves you she won't cheat on you and she'll realize that you are the one that she wants for the rest of her life! Hope that helps! Take care!
