Breaking the NC is the best move i've ever made - we're back together!

yes, that's right. i broke the NC after day 1. turned out to be the best move i've ever made. we're back on speaking terms, and in fact, saw each other last night. i could tell how much he missed me (and how much his fam missed me). but he was just too damn stubborn to admit it. otherwise, he wouldn't have invited me over for dinner w/ the fam.

he just needed a couple of days to himself. and me too. just to think about what's been going on .... i've realized my mistakes. he's realized his as well. so.. we're working on our issues now....

That wasn't no contact at all. Maybe he just thought about it that whole day and relaized that he really still wants to be with you. There is nothing wrong with that. Just take it slow this time.

Are you forgetting his Dating Profile?

Not knowing why you 2 broke up to begin with, I read through your past posts to understand the situation better and I came across a post of yours from not that long ago where not only was he treating you poorly/distant with his family around, but to top that off, you'd found out he's got an Online Dating Profile set up- in which he's "looking for romance." So now you buckled and came crawling back to him after a mere 24 hrs and you're ready to forget the fact that he's skulking around on the internet, on a Dating Site - clearly looking to meet someone else?

Hate to say it but based on your past posts and the conversation you had on the phone just recently, I get a sense he's really not into this relationship but doesn't know how to come right out and tell you. Men who are happy with their girlfriend, they don't create online Personal Ads, nor do they act aloof and distant when their family is around...........

Why are you so willing to overlook this all? - particularly the fact that you've caught him looking online for someone else? I think you're in a lot of denial because you desperately want him - but he's giving you all kinds of signs that he's not all that interested but just can't come right out and say it.

well thanks all for your feedback.

about him being distant when his family's around, it's because it was my first time meeting them (i wasn't exactly prepared for it). so it was a lot of adjusting. of course, he can't be as affectionate w/ me the first time. i know i wouldn't be too if i introduce him to my family. but when i came over last friday night (after being apart for 5 days), i could tell how much he missed me (and his family was really glad to see me again). and he's not as distant (physically and emotionally) with me as he was before. i think the time apart really helped us think. he slowly begins to show some PDA w/ me again... like he's no longer afraid to touch me, hold my hand, or put his arms around me. even in front of his daughter. im beginning to feel like the gf again.

in the beginning, i thought he was pushing me away but the more i thought about it, the more i felt foolish for being too self-involved. because i never really thought about where he's coming from.. like, if im hurt, it's because it was his fault. i never thought about where he's coming from. know what i mean?

and like i said, we are currently working on our isses right now. i know we have a lot to deal with and they're just not something to over look at. but we are working on it.
