How long after splitting up????

My ex ended our five year relationship, not to see anyone else, but supposedly, her feelings changed. What is a fair amount of time she should take b4 getting into another relationship, as not to hurt me, and to take enough time out so she isn't seeing someone on the rebound??

Who cares what she does.

Its over. You need to move on. The moment she ended that relationship all dependencies on each other were removed.

Frankly why set rules when she has no obligations to keep them? Then you end up getting hurt again. What if she did leave you for someone, and does hurt your feelings. How does that change things?

Its over, do as ye will.

Well honestly it's usually the case when one person ends the relationship they've been thinking of doing so for some time.. so in many ways the person who ended it has already had some time to seperate themselve's from thier partner so to speak and get a better handle on how they feel then the person who's been dumped.

While in an ideal world it would be great if EX's gave thier EX/SO's time in not dating other people or starting new relationships as to not hurt them... it isn't typical.. the person who ended the relationship has had some time to move on so to speak long before actually ending the relationship.

I think it also depends on the reasons for the breakup. If they are legitimate, then it can make things easier sometimes.

If, as was in my case when my ex broke up, they are immature and selfish, rarely will the person date anything meaningful, and typically, they come back. Breakups for bad reasons usually end up back where they were.

Mine actually date a guy 2 weeks after we split, then ended with him 3 weeks later, because she realized she was trying to recapture what she had lost with me.

Silly girl.
