Let me know how you handled it, I have a 11 month old and have not left him for any longer than 20 minutes since the day he was born! I am starting to realize that he needs to be around other kids, I just don't know where to go. I also know I need to leave his side for a little while but I have to admit I am nervous!
I am not a mother, but I have read of mothers starting their own clubs like a coffee club where the host mother make coffee, and all the other mothers in the neighbourhood come by and bring their babies. It's mostly to keep mothers company and so the babies interact with other kids, since most mothers are lonely with their babies all day long.
The woman who started it just flyered the neighbourhood and flagged down people from the street who were walking their kids.
