boyfriends and strip clubs ....
My wonderful boyfriend of three years is headed to Vegas this week for some sort of work training thing. Somehow him going to a strip club came up and I've realized that I'm really not comfortable with it. I am NOT a sexually uptight person .... I don't even mind strip clubs in general and would actually really like to go WITH him to one someday ... but for some reason the thought of him being in Vegas with this guy from work and the two of them going to a strip club makes me ... uncomfortable. He keeps saying "if you trusted me, this wouldn't be a problem ..." ... but its NOT about that. I DO trust him ... I'm not at all afraid that he will cheat on me ... nothing like that! I don't know ... just the thought of him being so far away (and in Vegas of all places! lol!) and hanging out at a strip club makes me feel ... uncomfortable? disrespected?

Am I being crazy????

I don't see what the difference is between him going to a strip club where you live and going to one in Vegas. A strip club is a strip club, isn't it? What's the difference and why do you feel different about the two scenarios?

Well, the going to a strip club HERE thing has never come up ... but for some reason it just seems ... different? I don't know ... I know it doesn't make sense! Maybe its just that I would be SO far away??? Maybe I wouldn't be ok with a strip club here? Not really sure! Maybe its that he wouldn't come home to me afterwards? I don't know ...

The reason I ask is that it very well may be a trust issue. The whole "if you trusted me you would blah blah blah" stuff is bogus, that's emotional blackmail. If you feel uncomfortable with it, you need to be clear, honest and upfront about your reasons. Being vague and like "I don't know why I don't like it, I just don't" isn't really fair.

In any case if you make a big stink about it the chances are likely that he would do it anyways and just lie about it...
