Just got in a fight with my mom. *beats head on desk*

arrrgggg...

she drives me f'n crazy sometimes...

Apparently everyone in my family took time off work for mothers day, and planned to have brunch at my parent house in the morning, but never told me about it.

and this is somehow my fault. My dad and I work nights, my dad works 16 hour days fri-sun, and I'm supposed to know they planned to have brunch, we never have brunch... what am I psychic?

My mom called me up, and started getting all mad at me because I didn't know about the plans. I was planning to stop by and give her a gift in the afternoon, and then figured we'd all have dinner or something on Monday when we're all off work.

she has this way of saying it's not my fault, but still blaming me for it. I didn't ask about plans, and because I didn't come over and hang out before work tonight it's my fault for not knowing..... arggggg.....

Normally, me, my dad, and one of my sisters work on Sundays. One of my sisters is fighting with my parent about her scum-bag boyfriend and doesn't live at home anymore, the other is still young and lives at home.

My dad and sister both took the day off, even the sister who's moved away is planning to come... I hate it when she comes over, her abusive scum-bag boyfriend will sit in his car down the block the whole time, and probably call to check on her 14 times...

just venting...

Just remember, the reason your mom can push all your buttons is because she installed them!

It'll blow over. Do what you can on your schedule and tell other family members that you are upset that no one told you in advance--ask them to keep you informed of plans that include you.

My mom got peeved that I didn't send her flowers to work this year, although I brought her an even bigger, more expensive bouquet than usual to our family brunch today.

I agree with Beth - the reason she can push your buttons is because she's the one who programmed you. Sucks, but whaddyagonnado?

We all took my mom out to a big family dinner to what we all thought was her favorite restarant since she eats there all the time only to find out the reason she goes there so much is because my dad loves it! Her-not so much! She never said a word, I only found out after my sister in law-who didn't go- told me about it. I felt terrible
