Hi everyone! How long did it take you all to start dating again after you cut it off with the love of your life. I have been doing NC for 3 weeks (by my choice) to get over her, and it is getting harder because I am wanting to call her or wish she would call me now, but anyways just wondering how long before you didn't think of your ex anymore and how long it took for you to actually want to start dating others. Will the thoughts of your ex grow more intense the longer your away from them or die down? What about for your ex?

Dating as in to just go out and have fun and meet new people? Damn near immediately.

How long until I met someone who is actually worthwhile and could lead to something better? Just now. Been almost a year and a half.

For me it was about 8 months. And the thinking about them lessens and basically dies away. For me anyway. But if you see someone who looks like them or think you see them your heart still beats a little faster. I don't know how long until that goes away.
