Girls, if you say to a guy that he is cute, what do you mean? I know that you mean that he is "cute", but the thing is, sometimes it just reminds me of a girl telling a baby that he/she is cute. You know what im saying?. Because I get that from girls alot, when I meet new girls, sometimes when I laugh, talk or whatever, very commonly they will say something like "your cute", even when im in the middle of talking. and im 19 years old.

Even girls that may be out of my league will say that Im cute, "girls who are taller than me, a year or 2 older than me, and very hot" and I wonder, "hey, if they think im cute, do i have a chance if I ask them out now?"

because I do notice that even though I dont have the"sexy body" and im about 5'6, I do have a "pretty face", even many will say they love my accent, even guys say they wish they had my accent."

So girls...
What im really asking is...
if there is a guy, and you think he is cute, but you WOULD'NT date him,

would still tell him that he is cute?

I wouldn't take it as anything *Bad* when people tell you're cute.. and the accent.. LOL I love accents personally...

Bottomline.. IF YOU have an interest in someone regardless if you're cute or what not.. then have some confidence and ask her out.. the worst she could say is no.. BUT on the other hand, she might say yes

I disagree.

Being "cute" to me means anything from being little-boy-cute to being funny/silly. Being cute to me can mean that your gestures, words or expressions make me smile. It's sort of a carefree thing, I suppose.

Attractive means that a man has good features. He doesn't have to be a guy in Cosmo. He can be average, but there is just something about him that attracts me, draws me to him (most likely his smile or his eyes).

Handsome means that a man is good-looking overall.


IMHO, NONE of these things will make me fall all over a man, because when it comes right down to it, if he doesn't have the right attitude, I won't be interested, no matter WHAT he looks like. "Beauty is only skin deep."

Men can be nice looking, handsome, cute, or sexy.

It's just one of the terms for "good looking". We can't say that you're pretty, so we say you're cute...or hot

Yep, same for me. When I tell a guy he's cute, it means that I'm very attracted to him. I'm not going to tell him he's hot b/c that sounds too foward to me, and saying "you're a good looking guy" sounds like something I'd say to a friend.

"Cute" for me means "c'mere baby!"

Lots of my female friends use that word in the same context.

Well, my boyfriend is 36 and handsome/cute/hot etc. with very good features. I oftentimes tell him he's cute as a compliment instead of using other words to describe him and I don't mean it in a childish/boyish term of endearment. I think women use the word cute to describe a man they find both good looking and attractive. On the other hand, when my boyfriend calls me "cutey" I don't like it because I think he is seeing me in a non-adult light and not sexy, even though I know he does, similar to how you are feeling!

I think the tall out-of-your-league women who call you cute mean that you are sexually attractive to them and would go out if you asked them to. They are in fact IN your league but you don't realize it. It is safer for a woman to say cute than hot or handsome which might set them up for disappointment since that is not as vague in what they actually mean and doesn't feel as safe to say to someone, especially if they do not know you well.
