Red face Ladies: What is The Best Acne-Fighting Exfoliating Product You Ever Used That Worked?

My experience is Proactiv.
But I am also open to using other products that are just as effective.
Any experiences that were successful??

I am in the same boat as you. I've used pro-activ before but it only worked for a while. I've been used to my sking being clear so to me it's a BIG issue!!!! I went to the dermatologist about a week or less and she prescribed anti-biotics and gave benza-clin. I will let you know if it works. Clinique is actually real real real good but only if your acne is not real bad.

I just bought Neutrogena's new acne line. Its a 3-piece set that comes in a silver box for about $30. Its a great exfoliating cleanser, a spf 15 day lotion, and a benzoyl peroxide night lotion.

It was too drying at first (I have dry skin but still get blemishes, go figure.) I only use the night lotion a couple times a week and I've found a good balance. I would highly recommend the stuff.

I know what you mean by the dry skin w/zits deal...i have combination skin and in the dry ears, many zits appear.
the pimple fairy has been visiting me every night for the past few weeks ! LOL!

I'll try the Neutrogena products and give Clinique a wack as well.

Proactiv is great, but it's really not working that well.

Just make sure you do not use too many things at once that will irritate your skin and make it worse, trust me I speak from experience!!!!!

I have horrifically sensitive skin....

Like, I'll absentmindedly rub my neck and it looks like I have a 2nd degree burn there for teh next 3 hours. And my tattoos sometimes get raised and itch, mysteriously.

That said, I am prone to breakouts in a big way - especially when I'm stressed, or before the monthly deluge.

I can't exfoliate very often, I have to use really really really gentle cleanser, and I use cleocin gel for the acne. And birth control pills help, too. But I still get like one or two big zits every once in a while. Like right now, awful timing.

Well, my husband gives me these great facials.....

KIDDING!

I used to use Proactiv when I was younger. Now I use Biore's facial cloths. No soap.

Take into consideration it could be your make-up breaking you out. Especially if it's old and you use your fingers to apply it.

I have the EXACT same problem but only with one of mine, the one of my lower arm (on the outside of my arm). It gets raised and itches sometimes....any clue what that could be??

I also have really dry skin yet I get pimples also (and my skin gets rashy and blotchy looking when rubbed or even touched sometimes). This is a good thread, I haven't found much that worked except Vitamin E capsules *the gel inside* on the skin causes it to be smooth and helps my complection some.
