I know it is rude to respond to one question with another, but have you ever noticed that women do precisely the same sorts of things?
I do not think this is really a man versus woman issue. I believe that some people are simply irresponsible, or do not have the decency to admit that they are simply not as interested as you would prefer them to be.
Anyone who follows a basic schedule in life should have no problems planning part of a day to spend with someone else.
