My fiancee' and I broke up about 3 months ago and its killing me. We have a 3 year old son together, a house, golden retriever, and a white picked fence. I'm not gonna lie and say it was all her fault and at the time I thought it might be best to SEPARATE not break up. She wanted me to stay with my dad for a while who lives 1 hour from my house and 1 1/2 hours from my work. I told her I would just get an apartment for a while. Well when I did she blew up and told me it was over for good. We fought for a while over the next couple weeks and eventually I stopped begging for her to take me back. And it seems like it might have struck a nerve. She calls me for the stupidest reasons now. I don't know if she misses me calling or what. Well we haven't fought in a while and we're getting along good now. Shw went shopping the other day and bought me some clothes. hould I read anything into this? Her birthday is in amonth and I asked her to let me take her to dinner. She said that's cool but she wanted to see what her mom and sister were doing for her. I plan to take her to a restaurant that we've never been to before, a place that we could never afford to go. Any ideas on how I should handle this? How can I get her back?

Let her tell you when you can take her to dinner. If she wants to spend her birthday with her mom/sister - then so be it. Offer to take her another night and let her pick the night and the place.
