signs of high blood pressure....

Okay. Before I went to Vegas, I was fine as far as swelling goes. When I was on the VEGAS trip, and with all of the walking, and when I say walking, I mean we were only in our rooms to sleep and change clothes and then we would walk everywhere and see everything with shoes that were inappropriate for walking. So, I was dealing with swelling on the trip from the walking.

And when I came home from the trip, and thoughtout that day before we left to come back home, we did everything from going into the last few hotels, to just walking everyone and seeing everything. Anyways, I had my sneakers and socks on all day long, and when I was on the plane and when I came home the next day. So, when I took off my sock on my one foot and it is only my one foot at the time, it was so swollen that you could not even see my ankle or know that a ankle was even there. IT became so unbearable to walk and everything, and with doing little breaks of sitting and having my foot proped, it has made the swelling go down. But, it has been I would say 3 weeks or so, and I still have swelling, and my heal hurts a slite bit, but before it was acheing after the trip.

So, I am wondering why I am retaining fluid in my feet? I don't expect anyone to be a doctor, but where can I find info on this?

You really badly need to get this checked out. It could be something very serious - or maybe not, but go to a doctor FAST. Just so you won't think I'm jivin' you, this can be a symptom of congestive heart failure - and you are not too young to have it. GO TO A DOCTOR!!!!!!

Definitely see a doctor - there are many things that can cause this kind of edema, some are fairly benign, some are life-threatening - why take the chance?

You really should see your doctor about this. It sounds like extreme edema which is easily treated with meds. Sometimes when I do a lot of walking, I have to take a fluid pill to get the extra fluid off. If you leave it untreated, it can get very serious and result in congestive heart failure (where the fluid also builds up around the heart), heart attack, or stroke. Please seek the advice of your Physician at your earliest convenience. Good luck!
