Losing weight... what is healthy?

hello. I am about 5'1 and I weight about 175 lbs. I have gained 45 lbs within the last year. I used to weigh 129. I went from a size 5 to a 14 (28 in to 35) The thing is... I also had alot more muscle. My legs were nice and tight, flat tummy, and Although I have big boobs) they were also somewhat tight.

Now, Ive lost all my muscle, boobs grew a whole cup size, and I have stretch marks on my hips and legs. I didnt realize how much I was gaining until I saw all my red marks.

This has really hurt my esteem and I want to get back in shape. I know that this may seem unrealistic, but can I lose about 5-10 lbs a week? I know healthy is 2-3, but still....

I just would like some suggestions from people who understand or have tips for me. This is really embarrassing... so that is why I am here. What can I do... and no I dont eat like a pig. I have regular 3 meals... my metabolism slow down?

You really need to see a physician. If you haven't changed your eating habits, then you could have some sort of physical condition that requires treatment. Don't go on any diets until you've had a checkup and blood tests, please. You could hurt yourself if you have a physical ailment.

If there is no medical reason for your weight gain, I would recommend that you try Weight Watchers. They give you lots of guidance, and it is a very healthy way of eating. The other diet I like is the South Beach Diet, but that is one that you do on your own, and it sounds like you might need more support than that.
