He says one thing but does he mean it?

Ok I need some advice!
I like this guy at work we have hung out every weekend for the past month or so been on a few dates here and there and yes we have kissed but nothing else. He knows I like him and he likes me too but right now he doesn't want a relationship. I care about him a lot so instead of me getting hurt I backed off and I dont hang out with him as much and I hardly talk to him at work I mean we talk but not a lot. Yesterday I hung out with him and some of his friends and by the way he was acting it was kinda like we were a couple but we aren't. One girl thought we were dating and asked how long we have been together. I just laughed at her and said we weren't. We all ended up watching a movie and he cuddle with me and crap. I am so freaking confused on whats going on?? I care about him a lot and he knows that, if he doesn't want a relationship why is he acting like he does?

Men...

Some guys are commitment phobes, but it sounds like this guy likes spending time with you. Don't freak out if he doesn't want to commit right away. Its a big step, especially for a guy. As hard as it is, just take the friendship for what it is and have a good time. There's a chance you might get burned, but at the same time that you're getting attatched to him, he's probably getting attatched to you. Also, getting to know him better over time will make it easier to decide whether or not you want to date him for sure. Good luck.

Guys are like that.. They want to have you there and the comfort you can bring them but they think if they get into a relationship the freedom is gone. So he wants to spend time with you but he wants to be able to do whatever he wants whenever he wants. You can either stick it out and maybe eventually he will give into his feelings if they grow stronger or you can walk away before you like him to much. Its hard I am kinda going through the same thing. The guy I am dating for about a month and a half but been talking for 5 months. Has been warming up to me. He tells me he wants a relationship with me then he says he isn't sure. I get so confused. He got burned in his last serious relationship and is scared to take that step again. He says he thinks about me and wants to see me all the time but he is emotionally scared to let it show. He said he just isn't sure but to just let things be..and he found out this past week the ex is getting married so now things are even harder. He spent the whole weekend probably feeling sorry for himself. But what he doesn't understand is I am here. I like him and if he just let it happen he could move on and see what else life can bring him. And I don't want to get hurt but I can't let go till he says its done.
