Dealing with death leads to dieing of a broken heart?

Last night a friend of the family was dicovered died in her bed. Just under 4 months ago her husband died. They were married for approx 45 years. She took the death of her husband very hard. Every time I spoke with her something came up that would spark a memeory of her husband for her and she would cry.

Years ago when my grandfather died, my grandmother followed 3 1/2 months later.

I once heard that a couple that have been together for a great number of years and are truly in love, usually die within a very close time frame.

What do you think of this and have your every experienced something simular?
