yes, i have a lot of guy friends, and they are usually a lot less catty and temperamental than my chic friends. But make sure that these guys you are to befriend have no other motives than friendship. Some guys do not see women as a friend a possibility all the time either, especially if they are sexualy attracted to you.
But yes, the gender can be over looked.
