Did you both agree on a Separation? It sounded like it was a suprise to you?
A separation doesn't necessary mean its over! It's just time apart. Maybe this may just be what you need!
This is apparently something she wants. Does that make things impossible? Maybe not.
My take from the other thread was that you weren't in counseling long enough to even determine if there would be any benefits from it, much less what those benefits are.
If she doesn't want to go back to joint counseling, you could still benefit from individual counseling.
A number of the posters here swear by <URL removed> - give it a try.
