Problems with LDR girlfriend's parents!!!

Ok, well I know I've posted like twice on here, but I got another issue with my girlfriend (who lives in England). Everything was going well up until this point (and still is between us), but now her parents have gone completely nuts on her. They don't want her talking to me as much, they almost don't want her to come back for my prom on May 8th, they think she's making the "wrong decisions," by the things she does/says with me. They're severely limiting our time. I apologized to her dad before I left their home at the end of last week, telling him that I was sorry if I'd offended him or his wife (since its primarily her...) and he said "No worries, its not a problem with you at all." They think that there's a problem with my gf's attitude, like she's "consumed" by me, and that she's self-centered and blah blah blah the list goes on forever but its all bull****. What do I do? I want her to come to my Prom in 3 weeks, but this stuff is driving me insane!

Have you had a chance to talk to your girlfriend about this at all? I don't think there's anything you can do, besides encouraging her to work on her attitude, and to find other things she can do in her free time besides day dreaming about/talking to you.

Is she involved in any activities outside of school, or anything? Any hobbies?

I can understand her parents concern if she is truly "consumed" by you. You say it's bull****, but please talk to your girlfriend about this.

I hope everything works out for the best. Maybe you could post again with more details?

Well, I remember being young and "consumed" by my relationship. It could be your girl's parents have some valid concerns. (Sorry, I love playing Devil's Advocate - bear with me! )

Where do you live, slapshot? It could be that the girl's parents are shelling out lots of quid for you two to have a relationship...?

We really do need to know more to make an educated guess.

aight, well, I live in St. Louis, MO, and she lives in London. Her parents don't shell out any quid for her to see/talk to me. They get a special deal on phone calls cuz her dad works in international business, and she has come home once....with her whole family on the usual Xmas vacation home. I've shelled out over $3000 to come see her...made 3 trips to see her and I DON'T get a special deal on phone calls, but I call her more than she calls me. NOt that she's not doin as much as me, but she doesn't have to. She runs track for school, has TONS of schoolwork, NHS, goes out alot on weekends (well not as much as she used to but still goes out). I don't believe she's consumed by me, but I believe that it gives her something to believe in and something to hold onto when her life is so crazy (moved to London for 3 years, coming home in 3 months, fights, etc).
