Question Dealing with ex on daily basis

Hello,

I am new the board. I wondering if you could help me with this problem. How do you deal with seeing you ex every single day at work or school. I was seeing this guy for a little while and everything seemed all good. To make a long story short, one day he did something I didn't like (letting this girl grind up against him), so I told him how I felt about it (i didn't act rude or yell). Well the next I know he turn around the argument and pointed out some things I did wrong (like letting my friends in our business). I tried to talking things out with him and apologise, but basically he was unresponsive and he felt like I was crowding him too much. Here it is almost a year later he still acts really distant with me. I haven't brought up the subject since last summer. We both made mistakes and I'm willing to accept responsibility.

My major problem right now is dealing with seeing him everyday. This relationship is so hard to get over, because I still care so much for him and I felt like there was no closure. It would be easy for me if he was willing to talk to me or if I didn't see him all the time, but the fact that we are in each other's presence on a daily basis makes it just that much harder. What do I do ? Please give me some scenarios and/or opinions.

Having to see the ex every day is definitely the pits. So, let me see if I have this straight....you broke up a year ago and he's still not speaking to you? From the sounds of the break up and what not, it sounds as though he's immature. Unfortunately, there's not a lot you can do to get him to open up. I don't think you had anything to apologize for, but you have apologized and reached out to him and after that, there's not a lot you can do other than continuing to try to move on with your life. I know it must be difficult, esp. in light of the fact that you're stuck around him all of the time. But really, keep trying to move forward and remind yourself that this guy is not worth the trouble.
