She was so young now shes gone

I have recently within the last week been dumped by the a girl that I thought was the one I had been looking for for years. She was everything I have always wanted and needed all my life. For the first time in years I thought that I had meet the one I was going to spend the rest of my life with. She had me believing that she loved me more than anything.I was blown away by her ,when I seen her she lite up my heart, when I held her at night I was perfectly content not wanting anything else in the world, but to be with her.She from what she said ,felt the same way. This was the happiest I have ever been .
Here is the thing I am 43 she was 22 big age difference I know but it didnt seem to matter .Maybe it was all wrong from then begining ,I dont know, but the thing is I really and truly fell in love with girl, and I cant forget about her, everything about her was perfect and I know I will never find another one like her'
Sure people might think it was doomed from the begining maybe so but that doesnt mean I dont love her and it doesnt mean I am not hurT.
I,m really haveing a hard time with this I dont know were to go in life from here.Sure I have gone through this before I was married for 12 years wich ended in divorce ,But somehow This is much harder to deal with than that ,maybe its because she was so young and I know the chances of another 22 year old being interested in me is like one in a million chances of ever happening again .I feel spoiled now since I had a younger women .

It hurts to have had a relationship end with a great person, but in time you will work through it.

Her being much younger than you shouldn't be the focus--there are women of various ages with whom you can pursue a relationship with.

"I feel spoiled now since I had a younger women "

Then it was more than just HER...it was the fact that she was much younger. She wasn't the ONE.

I think it was a combination of things about her that made you flip your lid. I think her being so much younger than you, in a way, made you feel a little younger. Perhaps getting to know her made you remember what it was like to be 22 again. And I'm not saying you're old, just that you're older and as we age, there's a part of us that's nostalgic for times gone by. I'm not trying to be dismissive of what you felt. I think it did feel real. I'm just thinking there might be more to it than you may realize now.

You have to realize that a 22-year-old doesn't really have a good idea of what she wants out of her own life. Chances are, a 22-year-old isn't dreaming to settle down with a 43-year-old for the long-term. If I had to guess, she probably thought it was cool to be with an older guy but never had any real long-term plans, despite whatever she may have told you. With women, you always have to pay attention to what they do, not what they say.

Hmmmm

I am 25 and my boyfriend is 39...

(smaller age difference obviously)

But and I think if my boyfriend ever let me feel he felt flattered or proud or happy that a younger woman was interested in him I would leave him.

No one wants to be "loved" for the wrong reasons.

And for others to say she isn't ready to settle down because she is 22 is silly. No one can know that. I have plenty of friends that wanted to start a family and such early in life.

But I do know that no one wants to be liked for such a shallow reason as age or beauty or material possessions.

Maybe you would still have her if you truly loved her for something that wasn't such a passing thing as age or beauty.
