i'm a 21 yr old female and have been dating this older guy for about 2 mths.he's 30 and has a 6 yr old daughter.I like him a lot but ma parents aren't in favour of our relationship because they think he's too old for me but ma question is should age really matter?He may be older than me but whenever i'm with him i'm always happy and i don't feel like he's older than me or anything.he takes good care of me and his daughter is just so adorable but how can i get ma parents to approve of our relationship?I've already made up ma mind to be with him but how can i get ma parents to approve of our relationship cos i don't wanna have to choose between them.

Not easily, you are old enough that you can make decisions on your own, if you wnt to be with this guy then they cant stop you. If it gets serious then they might change their tune.

to the original poster,
maybe they dont want you hung with with a man that has lots of baggage (a kid, which of course is attached to another woman no matter if shes there or not), and a man who just happens to have more "wisdom" from age, as you do. we are only so young, and the diff beween 21 and 30, i would imagine is quite great, depending on the person. maybe you might want to listen to your parents, but then again you are old enough to not.
