Unhappy Is this a KIDNEY INFECTION???

Help...someone! I think I've got a kidney infection. I have this agonising pain in my back, on the right side, which feels like it's from inside. It feels like my kidneys, but Im not sure. It hurts more when I move a certain way, or sit a certain way which means it could be muscular, but Im pretty sure it's an infection of some kind. I get a slight temperature occasionally but not all the time. I also get nauseous a lot but mostly in the evening. I am contemplating going to A & E cos the pain is so bad but don't want to go if it's just a muscular pain. I'm more concerned that it is a kidney infection which could need medical intervention....please could anyone offer any advice????

Go to the hospital, and i certainly wouldnt be relying on a forum for health advice especially if its something as serious as a kidney infection.... or suspecting one.... go to the doctor.

Sit and wait. Ask someone to call you every six hours. If you don't answer have them come and check to see if you have passed out or if you are dead. If you have passed out or are dead then its serious. Otherwise its just pain and you can take some aspirin and keep waiting.

Yes, I am being sarcastic!

Don't come to a forum and expect strangers to make a diagnosis. Even if this were a medical or health related website, no one and I mean NO ONE can diagnose an illness without seeing the person! Go see a doctor.

There are many things that could be wrong, from an infection to kidney stones, gall stones, renal shutdown....some very critical things could be happening. If you cannot afford a doctor, go to your local health department immediately. This problem could easily be life threatening. Seek medical attention immediately.

I agree with the above posters who remarked that the Internet is no place to get serious medical conditions diagnosed.

If you ARENT' ALREADY AT THE DOCTOR, go NOW!

I agree with the others on the not-seeking-medical-advice-on-the-internet thing.

I did have those very same symptoms and I thought I had a back ache along with the flu, but after I went to the clinic and was diagnosed with a kidney infection, I was admitted to the hospital. Once they got the Levaquin in my system I started to feel better almost immediately.

The moral of the story is: Go to the doctor when you are sick.
