time of day
Is there anyone out their whom is like me and can't bare to stand waking up in the early mornings of say like 5-6am??
Well, do to the fact that school has yet started up again, I've had to do just that. Stopping for coffee has helped some.. But staying attentive for my 8'oclock spanish class has been a challenge thus far.
Does anyone have any suggestions on this agenda??

a nice cold shower to get the circulation going! I've also heard of people leaving their contacts in the refrigerator overnight (in their proper storage case, of course!) and doing their exercise in the morning.
dumb question time, but why are you getting up so early, anyway? Whenever I was stuck with an early class in college, I slept in until about 1/2 an hour before I was due on campus ... and I still do now that I work (thank goodness for living only a couple of miles from my job). Of course I made sure everything was ready the night before so I could just grab my stuff and go.

early b/c
I commute to school.. and since I live in Jersey.. Traffic is known EVERYWHERE.. And so as to I'm not late, I need to get up, etc. and leave by 7:00am.
And unfortunately this the only time this couse is offered..
I am NOT a morning person. NOT at all. I hate mornings. I get up at 4:30 so I can take care of my family and get to work at 7:00. I don't go to bed 'till 12 or 1:00am sometimes. I had a meeting this morning at 7:00 so I had to come in a little earlier. Last night I worked late. Coffee is my friend!
The alarm clock is across the room so I have to physically get up to turn it off. Have things prepared the night before. Have an instant breakfast or energy bar that you can eat while driving in. Take vitamins. Eat well and exercise - the healthier you are the easier it will be.
You need to be sure you're getting enough sleep for starters. I hate early morning waking. I had a job once where I had to be on the bus at 6:30 AM. It was an hour ride so I'd sit at the very back (the bus never filled up) and fall asleep for the hour.
If you can get your bum outta bed at 5:00 am...you are kick ass! I normally roll outta bed at noon or 1pm. It sucks though cause I am currently unemployed, but next month I start CNA training. That means I have to get up at 5 am and be at work at 6:45am.
I also thought of this...if you can avoid caffine and do a 15 min workout (i.e aerobics) instead, it would be more benefical to you whereas caffine isn't all that good for ya.
im not a morning person.on my way to work, one early saturday morning i dozed of for a second and then the next thing i know i slammed into the expressway wall.so now i drink this stuff called red bull ,it gets me going.

Red Bull & stuff like that
Hey you guys!!
Thanks for the recent inquiries of what to/not do upon staying or at least trying to stay awake in those 'early' mornings..
Well, it's been a near month now since I originally posted this thread.. And, all considering.. I've been able to get up & motivated, etc. with not so much hastle.
The only thing that seems to be getting bad... is the traffic.. I mean, 'yeah' I do for one live in a congested urban area--- Phillie in the south west, NYC-- on the NEast of me, etc. It just seems like every day.. the traffic seems to expand.. (maybe it's just me).
Also, a problem could pose.. once the 'clocks' move back.. in a month or so from now.. But, that's just another 'thing' that will take getting adjusted to..
i cant even get up for high school im in 9nth grade and i dont sleep durring the night no matter wut i try nothing works, sleeping pills, tea ect. i tried putting an alarm clock on the other side of a room and when it started beeping i got up turned it off and was so tired fell back on my bed and went to sleep for another 15 mins then it started again and i grabbed and knife and threw it into the alarm clock...isnt that retarded it was an expensive alarm clock to. i am being threatend by the princeipal becuase i come into school around 12:30-1:00 wut should i do?
Ya I can relate to all of this I have to drive for drivers ED from 6-6:30 am this requires me to wake up at 5:35 am every day it feels like I am just gonna fall asleep behind the wheel.
