Be careful, don't believe everything you are told, and if you can't meet the party in person within two or three weeks after meeting online...forget it!

Ya I know to be careful and stuff like that. I'm searching profiles that are close to where I live so that i can meet them.

well i have met two diff guys off the net, ones that go to a college other than mine that lived relatively close. the first one was great, he was all that he said he was, but i was an idiot with him, and lost him.
the guy i am dating now, i met from the net, hes pretty cool so far.
yes, just be careful. i did some searching to check if he really is who he says he is by going to his college website and checking if he was a student- that stuff is available to the public, very legal to check up on. but yeah, lots of ppl have met online....have fun and be smart

Yeah, youll find that a lot of people put up wrong pictures and stuff. As for not meeting them within two to three weeks, not necessarily true. I met my boyfreind on line (been together for over a year), and we didnt MEET until almost three months after we startead talking. Granted, we were about 150 miles away from eachother, so that did make a difference.

i say go for it. i met a guy online before. i live in PA and he lives in CA. we talked online for 2 years, then i went to CA for a vacation and we met up. we got close (friendship close) and still maintain a great relationship to this day.
