Red face Hot Flashes!

Ok. I know these flashes of hot heat I get are due to the ever so wondeful phase in a womens life called perimeno, but they are annoying as all heck. I get them bad like every other month right before my cycle. Some times it wakes me from my sleep and I want to step inside my fridge to cool off. I'm wondering if anyone can relate? If so, have you found anything that helps this annoying Hot issue.

Ah, the dreaded "night sweats". Nothing like taking a shower right before
sleeping and needing another first thing in the morning....................

......(unless there was fun involved)

I've heard that sleeping on a buckwheat pillow is supposed to allow for greater air flow on the head and neck. Haven't tried it yet, myself, but my sister swears by them.

One woman I knew kept a mister in her purse to spray her neck and cool it off.

A buckwheat pillow? I've never heard of such a thing. Do you know where to buy one? I really can't stand the feeling of being so hot.. it's awful. I kick all the cover off for a bit, then once the flash is over I'm ice cold.

Thanks for the link freestyle. The pillows look neat and I like the eye covers as well.

That's for another link here. It's possible that it could help with my back, ya never know. I was reading somewhere that soy is suppose to be helpful as well. But, I'm not so sure I can see myself drinking soy milk.

Ha, I just saw this thread now..(read your PM)..

Good thing winter is coming, when you feel those hotflashes hitting you, go stand outside for afew minutes. Or stand infront of your freezer!

A friends brother has a buckwheat pillow, it's loud and crunchy just FYI.

Mea, my wife heard that a waterbed works. It dissipates heat better than a mattress.

I'd would have never guessed a water bed might work. Only problem is, those make me sea sick.

You might benefit from a water mattress-less motion than a waterbed....

Mea...Wht has worked wonders for me is Tshirt bedsheets, a small fan in the room, light blanket in case it does get cold..And if all else fails a can of ice cold diet coke between the boobs will help as well.
Take care
