Here is the story that is different from all my last posts. This one is not about stupid jealousy and images in my head. This one is advice that my friend told me last night; it will help a lot of guys out there in struggling relationships. He said:

"I broke up with my girlfriend and I was not sure whether that was the right thing to do because I did not know whether I would find anything better out there. I did it because I did not feel right (like loved) as much. Now I am free! That is the best feeling"

I am wondering whether I should do the same because I have a very hot and adamant girlfriend who lives in Philadelphia. At first I was glad when I got her, but now I am seeing other things. I have to strive to get in contact with she does work also, but a little less. Then she tells me about guys who hit on her almost every other time we talk, or parents saying that she was perfect for their son and they take pictures of her, or she even tells me details about vacations her and other guys went on like Hawaii. I know it is normal for girls but I am sorry. I am just wondering if it is really worth it too stay in the relationship that I know she controls. I think I am afraid of how life might be without her, because I love having one of the pretiest girls I know for me, but I dont know if I can handle being whipped kinda and listening to her tell me about other guys. I want to sit and think about it but i am asking if you could tell me what options and ideas to think about?


PS: Is this a problem with most "hot!" girl relationships? Where they know they can get other stuff and make sure you know?

the fact that you constantly bring up how "hot" she is makes me think the relationship is superficial and is like a one night stand or fwb stringed out over the course of how ever long your relationship was.

do you love the fact that you're with someone that is considered very desirable or the fact that you really do love/care for her?

my girlfriend was a former model but when people ask me why i am with her not once did i say how "hot or attractive" she was but the fact that she is the most caring and genuine person i know.

Have you asked her why she feels it necessary to tell you about other guys?

And if you're a Chicagoboy and she's in Philadelphia, do you really see a future for the two of you? If not, her hotness shouldn't keep you from ending the relationship.

She sounds like an attention whore. Telling you all the time about how she gets hit on, she obviously wants you to feel jealous/insecure, or she simply is trying to say "look how hot I am I get hit on a lot".

News flash ladies: Even decent looking chicks get hit on a lot.

You think its normal for girls to describe vacations with other guys to their bf's? No it's not normal its just trashy.

I don't see why she talks about other guys to you a lot? There is something wrong with her. Leave her.

It really depends on the girl. Some girls who aren't very attractive can sometimes act like they are god's gift to men, when they clearly aren't. Some girls are pretty but insecure, so they feed off the attention of other men, even if they are getting plenty of attention from their bf.

My girl does this too.. I consider her one of the hotter girls I've been with but I've let her know more than once that I'm over her looks and mainly with her for her personality. She randomly tells me about how guys look @ her when shes driving and other scenarios and I think they do this because they want to make you jealous/insecure which in their minds adds value to them. I think overall its more of a controlling tool to make you submit to them to keep them but I really do believe a lot of it is insecure and trying to make you feel "lucky" to be with them so that they can control the relationship because you are "scared" you might lose them if you don't let them dominate.

Myself however I just say I'd rather not know and I made it a point one time to throw it back in her face when a girl at a gas station told me I had really pretty eyes. She didn't really like that fact and maybe got a hint that its not cool to try and flaunt the fact that other guys look @ you/hit on you. Instead of getting angry I told her that when a guy checks her out (to an extent) when we're together I take it as a compliment that I have a good looking chick rather than getting jealous.

Now obviously if someone is straight out checking her out in a way thats not cool then ill say something to that person but most of the time I just laugh and will maybe grab her arse as to say yah shes cute and its all mine haha..

Okay went off topic but to the OP I would just let her know that you'd rather not hear her talk about guys hitting on her because its not appropriate.
