I met a guy in class. We had different cultural backgrounds but similar intelligence levels, and we could both tell. I guess he was 2 steps in front of me.

I didn't know it but I liked him, considered asking him to hang out as a friend to go to the gym, etc. One day, I made a comment about his culture. It wasn't directed at him, more like I've had a VERY negative experience with another person from his culture.

I did'nt have the chance to explain myself and I guess he took it negatively. He could control my anger. When he would criticize me, I'd get mad, but if it was anyone else, I'd say OK, Whatever. He began to criticize me negatively for several days nonstop....we were in a College class together.

He made so mad that if another person had criticized me the way he did, I would have wanted to fight them. I guess he could see my anger and began to flex his muscles. We were the same height and build, but he was more muscular.

I didn't know him that well so don't know how to classify him, as friend or foe. I just made a mistaken comment and he spazzed on me....kinda big time. I know I'm not perfect and make a lot of mistakes. I think he overreacted though. Am I wrong?
