He had an 18 year A with her, she decided to break it off, and date someone eles. he goes nuts, locks her in a car, she jumps out somehow, as the car is moving, and he backs up the car and runs over her!! She barely survied. broken hip, legs and even broken bones in her face...He has some balls to be jealous, just thought I shared ...

and its worth remembering that you have no control over how the wife or husband will react if / when they discover the affair, its a dangerous way to live.

But it was ok for him to be sharing a bed with another woman (his wife) for those 18 years, and it must not have ever occured to him to get out of his marriage if it was so important to have the OW in his life.

There is no understanding some people. I'm glad the OW survived. I wonder if the break-up is still on....?

Sick.

Did you ladies watch Shattered? It's a pretty good movie - very predictable but good nonetheless.

No, he just wanted TWO women in his life. Anyway, I'm sure he is now lost his wife as he'll be in jail for a long time and, I certainly hope she's going to divorce him.

Yup me too. It's very sad.

Just shows that some people when pushed past their emotional limit can do really crazy things. I mean, obviously this guy was normal and OK for almost 18 years..Then BOOM, he changed.

This dude sounds super crazy. She should have left him way before 18 years had the chance to pass. I'm willing to bet that this wasn't his first time abusing her if she was willing to jump out of a moving car.

How sad for everyone in this situation, but especially any children he may have with either his W or his OW.

Are you being sarcastic here? He was cheating for 18 years!!! Is that normal?

I meant mentally. For him to try to kill his OW after 18 years, something in him snapped.

No it isn't normal at all. But it seems normal on LS as many are cheating and will continue to cheat. Just most don't try to kill off the affair partner.

Ok, you got me laughing with that one. Yeah, that's the thing that kinda sets this one apart, isn't it?

Uh, I'm guessing that there was probably nothing sane about him ever. He could've been abusive to his wife and girlfriend (we don't say 'mistress' anymore, do we?) and they both let him do it. I'm just guessing about that part but it is very feasible. Most people don't just snap out of the blue like that, it usually builds for some time. He's probably always been slightly skewed.

Maybe the OW is the one that was crazy. She'd been his OW for over 18 years. Did she really think that dating someone else was going to make him divorce after all that time?

My vote is on both not being all there. Who jumps out of a moving car? Who backs up over the person that jumped out of the moving car? Does anyone have a link to the paper that carried this story? I am wondering how old the man is.

Well, it would depend on what was in the moving car vs. what was on the outside of it. If there was gun pointed at my head on the inside of the car, hey, I'd take my chances and jump.

I'm not sure she started dating another man in hopes that MM would leave his wife. Maybe she finally realized what a complete and utter waste of time it was to be with him. And he confirmed it when he backed over her, just in case she was still debating the whole thing.
