4th ecard response from ex...

I know that the 4th is a very special day for my ex and so I sent him an ecard... this was his reponse:

thank u for the card n I m glad that I filled ur life with memories n happiness on this day as u did as well. I also realize that I did propose to u on this day 1 year ago n I do miss u a lot n do think about u very much so. I miss the times that we had on this day becuase we did have good times on this holiday which makes it very hard for me but I have to learn how to be a strong person n realize things r not what they used to be. Especially not like how it was when we first starting dating, those r the times that I miss the most n hurt so much. Well happy 4th of July n maybe we will see each other when I get back next week. Bye...

He has told me that i need to change and he is holding a spot for me in his heart for a second chance, but I don't know what to make of his ecard response...opinions anyone?

Fingers crossed for you. Thats such a sweet way of getting back in contact. You've both had time to let the hurt and whatever caused the breakup to subside.

When you meet up, communication is going to be the key thing.

I REALLY hope things work out as you would wish them to.

It certainly sounds hopeful.... Just make sure you give us an update after the meeting...

Sounds like he's keeping you on a string in case he can't find someone better.

Also, I think he may be slightly retarded, his english is horrible.

Count your blessings.

We are going out wednesday to talk about the issues that caused us to break up and see if they can be fixed. He is torn between me and another girl who he is now seeing is basically emotioanlly unstable and she has no friends, just school and work. She is very pushy but they are together although she likes him more than he likes her. It's clearly a rebound but he got all from her that I was not giving him so I can understand. But he does want to be with me he is just scared that it will end up the way it was before.

Can anyone give me advice as to what to talk about? I do't want to mess up this time.

By the way in the begining he said it was final but now he is second guessing his decision.

he told me he feels bad for the girl because she helped him alot, we are supposed to talk about the issues that caused us to break up and if they can fixed so we can try again without him leading me or her on.

Its a tough situation.

I agree with Enema.. you will always be back burner girl till the one that trips his trigger comes along..
Then he will hurt you all over again.
