i'm a recovering addict, and i can tell you that 8 years clean is a blessing not something to be concerned about. he clearly takes it seriously and i find that recovering addicts are a lot safer than active ones.
weed ruined my life. i had no ambition to do anything. dropped out of high school, would never go in to college; it made me lazy, i had no motivation to do anything, i was stealing and lying to everyone i loved. i think that it's the person not the drug. and towards the end i was beginning to get access to stronger drugs, and that's when i decided to do something about it.
so let me tell you something weed IS addictive mentally, and it can be a serious problem. it's more socially acceptable than heroin or cocaine, but it's still dangerous and it's still illegal for a reason.
