have you heard????

Ok, so I dont know if anyone has talked about this yet but there is this song out right now. Its by Sugarland (country music) and its called "Stay".
Now I dont exactly condone being the OW...BUT when I listened to this song my heart just ached for those of you who are. Its a song about the OW and she is just begging him to stay with her and not go back to his wife...... You should listen to it. I think that it is a very good representation of how you must feel.
Just thought I would put that out there for you. If anyone listens to it letme know what you think....

Wow.... since no one else has, I'll warn everyone before they watch that video. Don't watch it at work, or anywhere else where you might be embarrassed when a tear rolls down your cheek....

Pardon me while I go blow my nose....

Sorry to say and I mean no disrespect to anyone it's just what I feel when I hear the lyrics to this song, it is VERY pathetic.

Here is this woman begging for a man to take her and complaining about how lonely she feels and how used she feels yet she does nothing to change that, she sits there by the clock begging for him to come and lift her spirits. Bleeechhh, sorry but those lyrics are super depressing and make women sound very pathetic.

It's a peice of artwork written to please the masses, it makes the OW sound pathetic so that people can tollerate the lyrics given the nature of the topic.

Ok, intellectually you are correct. Intellectually I agree with you. But we aren't talking about reason here. We're talking about feelings. You may be right that it was written to appease the masses. They're out to make money after all. But if you think there aren't a lot of women (OW) out there, and not only "out there", but on this very board, that will identify VERY strongly with that song, you're gravely mistaken.

You are obviously very smart, strong, and together as a person. Not everyone else is. I was touched by it, I'm really sorry you weren't.

Why are you atacking me personally? I'm sorry I find that song pathetic, am I not entitled to my opinion? Or am I supposed to like it and feel a connection just because other people do?

If I tell someone I LOOOVE the Boston Celtics, and someone says to me they suck! Why would I take that personally? I could care less, they will still be my fave team.

That was not meant as an attack. It was meant as a compliment if anything, albeit a left handed compliment as we say here. Sorry you took it that way.
