Generally the socialite, though I've made exceptions.

No not really. It's all about who I feel like I get along with and can talk to on the same level, whether my first impression of them is shy or outgoing. I find that since I am shy at first and take a while to open up, I have the most in common with people who are the same way. When someone is very popular and outgoing, I usually end up finding out that there isn't much more to them and we settle at acquiantance level. Not that that's true of everyone, just in my experience.
