I seem to be in short fat and balding country

I live in a pretty decent sized city but for some reason the single men in my area seem to be the dreaded short fat and balding men that we try to avoid.

I rarely see a man of good height shape and hair and the few I do see get scooped up extremely quickly.

I guess I'm just venting but id like to meet some good looking single men once in awhile lol

1. Either relocate or...

2. Get online and get ready to find someone outside your area or...

3. Make due with whose available.

Men naturally lose their hair overtime, due to testosterone. As you are getting older, they are getting older and "balding" is normal. So I'd suggest eliminating the full head of hair criterion and looking beyond this. A full head of hair doesn't make a jerk a good person and if you don't look at what matters things will not work out for you.

Yeah, the balding man avoidance has got to go. You are cutting out half your options!

Only for some men. And most can use Rogaine to prevent baldness but are too lazy to rub it on their scalp twice a day. I suppose they are too lazy to brush their teeth twice a day, too. Being toothless used to be normal as we aged, too.

Give the baldies to me! Oy, the testosterone :bunny:

Rogaine and hair transplants are far too girly for me. I like a man who can wear bald well.

Ridiculous!

Balding is not nearly the same as oral hygiene, FitChick.

Using Rogaine or any other "stop balding" product is a waste of money. They don't really work. And they are really expensive. If you have had any family or friends that started balding in their 20's you would realise that it's not a lazy thing at all.

Accepting that your hair is going to fall out and finding a style that suits you is way more attractive than desperately trying to hang on by a thread... or a hair...

Not true. I've had exes who thanked me for telling them about it. It works for a specific type of baldness. It's about $15 a month if you buy the generic minoxidil on sale at RiteAid. Even cheaper online. Also Viviscal is good for hair.

Finasteride as well. Proven to halt hair loss in a significant percentage of men. This stuff has been around for a decade or so now. Baldness isn't quite the inevitability it used to be.

Ok, sure.

I still think it's delaying the inevitable, and classic male patten baldness (hereditary) is not really preventable unless you get those plug things.

Again, nothing like oral hygiene though.

First of all, how are you meeting/finding these men? And what would you consider "a man of good height"?

You girls be my guests and use irrelevant criteria, such as height and balding status when choosing your men. I'll get the good ones all to myself.

PS I suppose that our boobs are all pointing upwards after 35 huh?

Recognizing a good, sexy man is half the challenge. Height and hair doesn't make a man great in bed!

Wow as a guy who has a pretty bad receding hairline at 23 this thread is depressing.

@FitChick You're seriously misinformed if you think baldness is something with an easy cure all like Rogaine. Trust me I've researched plenty into it and results are mixed at best and really only slows hair loss if it works at all.

@Andy Finasteride is definitely an option, but you realize it messes with your testosterone levels and can lead to permanent sexual disfunction right? Yeah I'll pass...

Not gonna lie hair loss has been driving me nuts lately and seeing comments like these are annoying. Not really sure what I'm going to do when I get to like 30 and am almost completely bald on top. Probably either invest in some expensive hair transplants or shave it all off.

Balding is a genetic disposition which the person has no choice over.

Being fat isn't.

Chris, shave it! Sexy!

Confidence matters.

Ahem...is it hot in here?

but that what most the guys that attract girls look like. even looking through my eyes i think it looks better

i watched this show the other day that showed a man who believed in urine therapy......he rubbed it in his long hair on his skin and then....and then.....(retching slightly).......he drinks it......he believes his skin is softer, his hair lustrous adn he had these extremely eye whites all contributed to urine therapy(still retchin)...anyway......this guy is taken.......and i am actually really happy he is.......not so happy for the gf because now she drinks his urine too

give me a guy whose balding and has a pod of a tummy......and who believes urine isnt therapy any day and i would count my lucky stars....deb

A guy getting an implant like that to try and attract women will be seen as

Insecure and will be a big turn off. Women are attracted to men who are comfortable and confident with themselves the way they are.

I don't have the type of jaw you're talking about and once i figured out how to attract women my jaw didn't stop the many women that became attracted to me.

To the Op.

Real men. Even the tall good looking ones with hair want a woman with a good personality and who is kind to other people.

Well, like it or not, bald has always been a definite dealbreaker for me. I can't be attracted to a bald guy. I like LONG hair to begin with and not even short hair. So bald is out of the question. I used to pray one of my exes would go bald so I'd stop being attracted to him, but so far none of them has. When very young a guy was living with me whose long hair was already thinning and I knew it was only a matter of time and couldn't get the image out of my head.

All I can say to those who think it's unreasonable is would you go out with a bald woman?

Tip to OP: Go hang out in the music district. More hair there no matter where you live and it's not all long, but all lengths.

Great, I love reading stuff like this, so encouraging. Looks like hair transplants might be the way to go. Better start saving up when I get a job after college.
