Guys, what do you like girls to wear on a date?

I broke up with my boyfriend last week and have since then had a first date (yes, I know it's quick, but the relationship lasted only 6 months, and I'm trying not to let it get me down).

On the first date he took me to a nice restaurant, and it's warm where I am, so I wore a conservative, very feminine sundress and some cute sandals.

We are going out again next week (again for dinner), and I'm wondering what to wear for the second date. Is it ok to dress a little sexier this time around? By that, I mean is a little cleavage ok or is that too much? Is it weird to wear yet another dress or would you swap it out for jeans?

Guys - What is your favorite thing to see on a girl on a date?

Yeah, I think that's perfect for a second date. Most importantly, I like girls to dress for the occasion. Your choice sounds like a good idea, and it displays interest. Second date usually moves things slightly more intimate, like a first kiss, hand holding, etc, so that's a nudge in the right direction. Just keep it classy, dont overdue it

Wear a conservative dress but some KILLER, sexy shoes. It's the perfect whore/Madonna complex. Introduce your sexuality slowly.

Marsle, you're a shining example of why she's asking guys

Scarlett, we don't notice or give a crap about shoes, but I'm sure you already know that. I live in a warm climate too, sundresses are always cute and a classic look. Plus, if you've got the curves in the right places it shows them off perfectly.

Careful with the cleavage, flaunting it too much as some women do can be a red flag (insecurity issues). If you've got a nice set, we're able to tell even if you're wearing a parka :)

If it's casual and you don't want to go the sundress route again, jeans and a cute top with your hair pulled back, always looks nice.

I don't care.

I have a female friend that came over in a jeans, t-shirt, & a sweatshirt that hung down to the bottom of her ass.

Looked hot to me.

I had another woman come over in basically the same thing only her jeans came half-way up her lower leg.

sweatshirt wasn't as long.

looked hot to me.

But I should also mention I havn't been laid in almost a yr so a burlap sack would probably turn me on. LOL!

but honestly the only time I had a problem with a woman's clothes is if she's doing the hippy look or she's pushing 40 & wearing pants with "juicy" or something else written accross the ass.

Even if it's a nice ass, I really don't want to be seen by someone I know with a woman dressed that way.

Alot depends on your age and body type but there's not a bigger turn on for me than a woman who can fill out a pair of nice jeans and cute somewhat revealing top.

I'm not a fan of the whole sun dress look myself. Oh yeah make sure you have nice feet if you wear some kind of funky sandal because attention is usually brought to those types of shoes and cracked heels or funky toes can be deal breaker:o

Yes it is, way too quick to go on a date after one week of breaking up. It is unwise to do this, but you're going to do it anyway so I might as well give my opinion.

Skirts above the knees are going to win every time. Unless he's gay :D.

God. I know this sort of thread is supposed to be light-hearted, but cracked heel = dealbreaker?? 9/10, troll. :)

It makes more sense then the stupid threads saying "he's too nice how can I dump him".

I'm a "jeans and sweatshirt/t-shirt" wearing woman, and you're now my hero...LOL. Thank-you!!

I think that cracked heels are disgusting and would never be caught dead in sandals with cracked heels

You should wear what you're comfortable wearing (while making an attempt to look nice). But he's dating you, not your clothes, so don't overthink it.

I'm a woman and I have little neanderthal feet (absolutely nothing I can do about that). They're right out of The Flinstones. So I just don't wear revealing shoes. Which is fine with me because I spend most of my time hiking or on a horse anyway! And when I'm at work I have to wear safety-toe duty boots. If a guy is going to dump me because of my feet, then he can kiss my a**!

Totally! Besides, nothing wrong with lighthearted threads. :) Still, I find it funny how people list cracked heels as a dealbreaker!

You go girl. :)

I think it depends on occasion and age for the most part, but for a generic overview for what I personally like:

- Girls in heels. Doesn't have to be fancy. I like the plain looking ones on women the most. But I think a girl in heels is extremely sexy and really get's a guy's attention. The same can be said for high heel boots. But that's just me.

- Girls in stockings. Not sure why, but this also sparks a lot of sex appeal with me. It can look great when paired up with heels as well.

- Girls that show a little bit of cleavage. Doesn't have to be porn star-esque, but a little bit of cleavage can go a long way.

Whatever she's comfortable with wearing.

For the most part, I think jeans and a nice top are fine. I'm not all that fussy about clothes.

Couldn't really care less about the shoes. Only women judge each other about their shoes. So stupid!

Tights. Footed tights. Especially if you're tall. Once you have those on, they'll draw attention from even a lousy skirt. If you can sew, you can get adventurous by making your own out of floral print Lycra... definitely more adventurous than your basic B&W number.

I agree with the poster who said go easy on showing the cleavage... after all, you're going on a date, not trolling for bikers and rude construction workers. If you're flat and are dating a college professor, you have nothing to worry about.

But for shoes, stick with pumps or flats. I say this because my granny & ggm both wore high heels a lot when they were younger and they both ended up with ugly witch feet. My mother OTOH hated the things and wore tennis shoes instead... and when she died, her feet were still in great shape.
