SpiralOut
This probably sounds like a weird question. I'm just wondering, have you ever known someone who hated, or felt jealous of, someone else specifically because that person was much more kindhearted? The best example I can think of is the most recent Cinderella movie. Cinderella: Why are you so cruel? Step-mother: Why? Because you are young, and innocent, and good. Does that sort of mind-set exist in real life? That sounds really strange to me. However, I think it might explain something that happened with some people I know. Thoughts? TaraMaiden2
Yes, in my opinion, it happens a lot. But I wouldn't call it jealousy exactly. It's a type of resentment. When someone good grates on another person's nerves... I see it as a disbelief in the person harbouring the resentment, that someone really can be that nice... They have a certain level of contempt, and sneer, looking down their noses at the person demonstrating these qualities. It's almost impossible to pinpoint the underlying cause for this apparent revulsion. But something obviously grates, big time.
