Yesterday, I just got back my SAT score. I got exactly 1900 with 570 on reading 710 math and 620 on writing. I was somewhat happy with the grade since I improved and it was my first time. I have Asian parents. They seem to be so worried. They always complain how other Asians get like 2200s o 2300s or 2400. I do have a pretty good GPA in school and I do try take many high courses even though not as high as most Asians. I do try my best in school and everything, but they just complain. They said I can not be a doctor and earn high wages and stuff. They threaten to disown me and not pay for my college. I am one of these people who can not always sit and study. I need social life and stuff. I like to be with people and hang out with friends too. I can not just read and read 24/7. I do do my best though. I was wondering what is life out there after college? Is it really that bad? My mother always mentions about how many jobs give low salary and stuff. She mentions about unemployment and stuff. I just do not get it. I see many people who seem very happy without getting in to ivy leagues and stuff. I just do not get it. I mean isn't schools like wake forest good too? I just do not get them. They complain I will be jobless and useless, but I was like yeah there are people who score better than me and stuff but there are also so many that are below me too in grades and GPA wise.
