But I thought I would let people know (or those who are interested) that I am flying back to Italy this week to see my mother and Father. It may be the last time I ever see my father alive, I do not know. He is most tenacious and obstinate. he may just outlive us all! I will be back next monday 25th. Link to post Share on other sites

Tony stated he hoped he would be able to re-open the thread, but had closed it due to ungracious statements... I feel sad that people cannot "behave" themselves, even in a thread designed to bring about positive connectivity. My mother is looking forward to seeing me... It will be good to give her support, even if only for a few days. I expect that when our official vacation comes, my father will either still be very weak and grow weaker still, or he may have died. This is why I need to go and see him. Also for my mother's sake. I am glad to be going over, in any case. Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive and kind in their responses.
