Apparently, he was in the same friend group as her sister and her sister's best friend. Her sister liked him but he liked her best friend instead. Eventually he and the best friend got together until the best friend dumped him. He then started spending time with my friend's sister and they got together. They've been married for over 2 years now. I told my friend that I'm surprised her sister gave him another chance considering he chose her best friend over her and how I wouldn't get together wth someone who in my eyes at least treated me like a second choice. So it got me wondering the other kind of circumstances people have given second chances to people.
