If you are too nervous to put a picture of yourself up, then you're too nervous to date on-line. How many (male) profiles do you see with no picture of the applicant?? Few to none!! I want to see your smile. Ditto. I don't want to see pictures of motorcycles, cars, mountain vistas, full or empty beer glasses, kids/grandkids. Need to see the person before sending a 'like'. Profiles I swipe left on: men with cars/motorcycles, men holding fish, men with knocked out tigers, group pictures (which one are you???), bro pics with booze, kids (total lack of respect for their children), pics of landscape (wth???), or pics displaying any sign of wealth. That works well for me. You should try it. And I once had a profile with no pictures, I still got a handful of men interested. But really not much happens online with no photo. If it's one of those silly Hondas or Neons with a stereo system larger than the car and it sounds like most of them do - like my mother's vacuum cleaner - then I can see why you're not getting any responses. First, those guys are IN their football uniforms right? Not just a picture of some gear laying in a field? Its a picture of THEM. And now - what does a football uniform say? Its says that they are athletic. Successful enough to make the cut and get on the team beating out other men. It shows that they have an interest or hobby, that they have a certain level of discipline and can conform enough to society to be an effective team member. Not everyone thinks that they are "obnoxious". I am not a fan of football, but I recognize it has certain merits. My husband was on a football team once upon a time, and I have to admit, the physique he had from playing was quite attractive. I would never respond to a picture of a car. I don't date cars, I date humans. Now, if you had pictures of you, AND a picture of a unique car, like maybe you had a track car and picture of you out at the raceway. Or a vintage car and a picture of you at a car show - I would find those interesting. I like cars, I like going to the track or meets - so I would possibly into that. But a picture of JUST a car? I never swipe right on women who don't show their face, that's not how Tinder works... Maybe that's shallow, but it's not fair when you get to judge other people on their looks, then in turn don't want to show yourself... You're not getting replies because the women don't know what you look like, you could be anyone. People have preferences, they don't want to start a conversation with someone they're not attracted to (and "no picture" usually is a bad sign) Link to post Share on other sites
