Feeling alone

I've been feeling really alone lately. I want to make it clear that this not about finding a man because there are plenty of single women out here who are having fun enjoying their lives without one. I have friends but a lot of them are married with kids or not really the going out type or not dependable. I really don't have much family and I'm involved at my church but if I'm honest I don't want to be at church or with them all the time. I go out some but not as much as I want and i go on dates. I may be shy and quiet but I still like to go out and have fun nothing to crazy. , but I really want to be more active but don't know how to go about it. Even when I try to plan stuff ahead of time people cancel or bail out and then I'm stuck at home watching TV doing nothing and it's beginning to drive me crazy. I do have a couple of friends who are dependable and will go but even that gets old and I want to change it up. Any advice or suggestions.

Hi. I totally understand how you feel! It can be really tough being alone with no one to do stuff with. I moved to a new city so it was like I was starting over from scratch. There is a place called meetup.com where you can meet friends. I am part of the girls only groups. You can find groups tiered towards whatever interests you have or who you are. I also suggest bumble (the app) There is a setting where you can change it to BFF(best friends forever) I discovered this several months ago and have met lots of girlfriends this way. Then of course there are always community events and volunteering you can meet people at
