Looking for a dating coach

Recommended Posts

I've never been in a relationship, and after years of rejection and failures, I've learned absolutely nothing about dating or meeting women. Does anyone know of any good dating coaches that might be out there, or would anyone here be willing to help me themselves? I've determined that meeting someone is impossible on my own. I need outside help or it's never going to happen.:(

Google life coaches in your area. Find one who is certified or at least went to some place like Coach U. Then scroll through their profiles until you find 1-2 in your area who might be able to provide what you want. Get somebody local because I think you may need help with wardrobe etc.

Stay away from somebody who calls themselves a "dating coach" because that is usually only PUA drivel

I paid an OLD profile 'consultant' and she basically told me to cut out the jokes in my profile and try and make myself sexy by adding pics of me being highly coifed and sharply dressed, and maybe sitting on a fancy lounge chair with a glass of champagne with a view of the Eiffel Tower, something like that.

Nothing could be further from me (though I have been to Paris).

The problem with dating (and life) coaches is that they will lead you down the path that THEY think is the right way to do life/dating.

And there's about 50 different ways to live life. :lmao: At least...

What I suggest people do who are looking for real advice is to look at posts of somebody here where they admire their philosophies on life and dating, and ask them directly.

What is your social life like, if you don't mind me asking?

Not the best, which I know is a lot of the problem. I have a few friends, but differing schedules doesn't really allow for much hangout time anymore. Ive tried looking for Meetup groups in my area, but that hasn't really yielded many results either.

Omg , don't tell me they even have dating coaches now . That's sad.

But don't worry man there's not much to know, when you meet that special someone just go get her tiger and everything will fall into place.

Or maybe not, but hey that's the same for anyone.

Good luck.

But we all here can help you out. Don't need to invest money into love. Love happens, just have to understand how. We are all born without a manual, that's why it's so hard to meet the right women in your case. Everyone going to be strangers at first. If I was you look outside the box. Watch people in park or gathering area. Walk up to a woman and ask her, can you help me I trying to look for this address and I can't seem to find it. If she's a woman you would be interested in then you can say this, did your boyfriend take to see that show by chance it was playing over the weekend. Sometimes when you say it that way the girl or woman would say no I am not seeing anyone right now. You can say oh your married, she'll nope. Right there is your chance to say, would you like to grab some coffee or herbal tea at this cafe? If not now maybe later at 5 pm or after work? You can say I would to learn more about who just help me out and how kind you are for doing so. It's my way of saying thanks. That's all simple and easy. Less rejection too.. Even if she said no you, but she might say yes if you say it this way, what would it hurt to just get something an chat some more with you..Do you see where I am going with this. Never take no as an answer make it a YES!

Ah! There's your post. I remember asking you and then I lost the thread.

Great! California. I'm Socal. Are you in a small town? Is San Luis Obispo ok? Santa Barbara too far? I'm thinking older college age girl. 20-22.

Currently living in Monterey. Great place to live, but it's a tourist town, so the majority of people I meet are either families or just visiting for the weekend. So meeting people here isn't exactly easy.

The real question is what is your personality traits and what do you like. What are you looking for in a person.

Then you can go up to San Jose or Palo Alto on weekends. Join meetup groups there--preferably those focused on people in their 20's or the 20/30 range. Try social meetups as well as those that center on your hobbies.
