Hello helpers,

I am having trouble wrapping my mind around a potential relationship situation even though the answer is probably a simple one for someone on the outside.

I met started talking to Leslie probably 10 days ago and well shes the one who was first interested in me and initiated computer contact. So on Monday night we decided to meet. I took her for a drive and we talked, we were both looking for long term right off the bat before we actually met. She was sooo shaky and nervous, i maintained a calm cool collected way, she even said i seemed calm. She said I was fun and a funny guy as I made her laugh alot and even burp lol....so she invited me back to her place as she said she liked to cuddle and wanted to be cuddled. We talked about things, she told me I'd have to behave around her parents in the future...she said I was hot, perfect and she loved my eyes. She looked in my eyes and said us laying there together felt "SO RIGHT" she said that a couple times. She asked my policy on kissing ont he first date and I said yes...we kissed...I mean she initated that lol...I told her I wanted to wait to have sex even though we got prett hot and steamy and she said she agreed. I stayed the night, woke up, she didnt really want me to leave and kissed me and said "so were seeing eachother right?" and I agreed.

NOW>>>>>>>>>

Tuesday I worked all night and I was supposed to go and spend the night with her wednesday night (TONIGHT) but I decided to stop in earlier and she said "Oh...you didnt get my email?" and I said no...

Heres the email: "hey,

I really don't think I am as in to you as I thought I was, because I was meeting someone else to talk with as well. Things between us didn't develop as much as I thought, and the guy that I met, we had an instant click. I'm sorry that I feel this way,, but I can't help what I feel. I would like to remain friends if that is ok with you.

please email me back with your thoughts.

Les"

But anyway when I went there sh was soo shaky and said she doesnt know how she got in this situation but she met up with a guy on Tuesday night she used to work with and she used to like but he had a girlfriend back then....but she also said she wished she never sent the email and she likes both of us because we are both nice....and tonight (WEDNESDAY) she was meeting up with him.

SOOOO...I played it like a liar and pretended like I was not affected at all...I said oh well maybe hes the only for you, no problem, Theres plenty of fish in the sea...and I said who knows he could be the one you marry...she said or you could be the one I marry. I pretty well said I dont wanna be in a betty/veronica/archie situation and said I had to leave for work. I got in the car and she asked for a hug.

SORRY taht tis is long but......opinions. I really have strong feelins for this girl, shes pretty and when we spent the night togetjher it was amazing. HELP! What should i do?

Respect yourself and don't let her string you along.

You haven't known her very long, and you haven't spent much time with her so it's hard to say something long term would develop. Going into a first date expecting it to become a long term relationship is a surefire way to set yourself up for disappointment and heartache.

Here's my take on it...she likes you, but she thinks she likes him more, so she's choosing him to be first...but she isn't quite sure anything will work out with him, so she thinks you'd make a great back up guy.

You don't deserve that. Find a woman who gives you the respect you deserve.

I think that you guys took it way too fast... Spending the night on the first date and then in the morning saying "we're together right?". Honestly, she sounds like she just really wants a boyfriend regardless of who he is. My gosh you don't even know each other that well.

I understand you like her so if you want to keep seeing her while knowing she's seeing someone else too then go ahead. If you want a total commitment I would say to look elsewhere.

You didn't think her instant commitment was creepy at all? Just curious. Good luck.

Well I don't think there was anything wrong in spending the night together (as long as you didn't have sex), but the "we're seeing each other right?" thing would have scared the crap out of me.

This girl sounds like she just wanted sex and you didn't put out. The other guy probably wasn't as nice as you were and went for it. If you do continue to see her be cautious.

She sounds fast & flaky . . . a sure recipe for heartache (yours). It's great she was honest enough to tell you what's going on, but that's no reason to hang around - you deserve to be someone's first choice . . . not a placeholder.
