You'll get there. Congrats on your job and for all the progress you've made so far. Consider reading up on the 5 stages of grief: denial, bargaining, anger, depression and acceptance. These aren't neat and linear stages that you can measure, they're more like messy cycles that you keep revisiting over and over until you hardly recognize that they aren't present anymore. It takes time. A few steps forward, then something knocks you back a bit. It's natural, and it doesn't mean that you lose your progress. It just feels lousy. So yes, you'll have some moments of projecting anger onto your ex. That's not tragic, but don't get stuck there because it doesn't benefit you to blame anyone. That would set you up to believe that you are a victim at the mercy of other people's judgement rather than your own. That's not a confidence builder, and it sucks as a go-forward strategy. But cycling through a bit of anger here and there? Not so bad if it energizes you to do better on your own. Head high.
