If you were with someone and they said they loved you and you fell for them but they weren't over their ex, didn't even realize it themselves, (still talking to them, about them, emotions able to be stirred by them, you feel like they'd go back to them if possible) so you break it off so they can figure themselves out. Slightly upset that they led your feelings along but understanding they weren't in the right place to be emotionally aware and able to give fully. They go back to their ex for a while but then contact you.

If they came back saying they had finally moved on and wanted to try again.... Would you trust them and give them a second chance?

Personally.. No. My ex did that with the same guy for YEARS. I'm not sure if he had no other options or what, but They'd hook back up and if she saw me out or called me,ect.. I could be in her bed in 30sec...Not bragging, just giving my opinion. Cheating is cheating..Emotional affair=cheating, physical=cheating. Thinking about cheating=cheating(to me).. If you're not fully available, leave me alone.

I have no idea. I was also my ex's rebound relationship. Some days (okay, most days), I hope beyond hope that he'll come back to me and say he's over the last girl (whom he has no chance of getting back together with, btw). And then other days, when that thought hits me, I wonder the same as you: can I trust him not to walk away again? But then my thoughts are hypothetical - yours are real!

Ultimately, it's up to you to decide. Only piece of advice I'd give? If you decide to take your ex back, take it slowwwwwww.
